Enhance Your School with Exchange Teachers
This program is a powerful asset for schools and communities, bringing experienced international educators into U.S. classrooms. Exchange teachers are subject matter experts with a deep passion for teaching, leveraging years of experience to engage students effectively. Beyond the classroom, they introduce cross-cultural activities, broadening students’ perspectives on global traditions and customs.
Exchange Teaching programs offer schools the opportunity to hire highly qualified teachers for primary and secondary (K-12) levels. These educators hold credentials equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree and have a minimum of two years of teaching experience. The program fosters an educational and cultural exchange, enriching both students and local communities.
Through this initiative, exchange teachers contribute to an immersive learning environment, introducing diverse cultures, traditions, and innovative teaching methodologies to American classrooms.
Host School Requirements
Accredited U.S. public and private primary and secondary schools (K-12)
Pre-kindergarten language immersion programs offered as part of an accredited primary school curriculum
Key Program Requirements
Teaching positions must be full-time (minimum 32 hours per week)
Teachers must start at the beginning of the academic year
Exchange teachers must comply with applicable collective bargaining agreements
Positions must align with responsibilities, schedules, and compensation equivalent to U.S. teachers in similar roles
Exchange Teaching Program
Exchange teaching offers international educators the chance to teach full-time in accredited U.S. public and private schools at the primary and secondary levels for up to three years. This unique exchange allows teachers to develop professionally while sharing their culture and expertise with students and communities. After completing the program, participants return to their home countries, bringing back valuable insights and experiences.
Please Note: This program is strictly for educational and cultural exchange. It is not intended for standard employment and does not replace American educators.
Reciprocal Exchange for US Teachers
We partner with the BEE Program - Bilateral Educator Exchange to provide US teachers a low-cost, subsidized travel experience observing classrooms around the world.
